Dana Point is one of those rare coastal towns that still feels like a true community

by Patti Gregory

Dana Point is one of those rare coastal towns that still feels like a true community—walkable, welcoming, and refreshingly calm. It has the charm people love, but with less traffic, easier parking, and a more relaxed day-to-day rhythm.

The Dana Point Harbor is going through a revitalization. Some people love it, others - not so much! It is definately giong to change the feel and some of the much loved restaurants are gone.

With so many amazing restaurants, Truly Pizza is getting a lot of 💙. When was the last time you had to make a reservation at a pizza place? ....and they are recommended!

When you're in town on the weekend, you'll want to stop in at the Ocean Institute 🐋
It's a local non-profit open on weekends to the publice and lots of school field trips and interactive programs during the week. They also just opened a coffee shop & little bakery in the same parking lot.

One place that I need to personally mention is Jimmy's Famous American Tavern for the BEST BURGER EVER! And they have gluten free buns! Super messy and super good - worth every napkin!! One of a kind diner and it's directly across from the harbor with lots of parking!

Dana Point is coastal living without the chaos ~~ Harbor views, great food and a beautiful community and room to breathe.

A place that I am very happy to call home!  Watch the video here >>> Dana Point 🐋
